Before surgery, MLD Massage can be used as part of your preparation and wellbeing plan, supporting healthy lymphatic flow while providing a deeply calming treatment ahead of your procedure. Following surgery, the lymphatic system plays an important role in managing fluid within the tissues. Gentle post-operative MLD Massage is specifically adapted to the stage of your recovery and may help support the management of post-operative swelling, fluid build-up and feelings of tightness or heaviness. Every recovery is different. Your treatment plan will therefore be tailored around your procedure, stage of healing, surgeon's guidance and individual needs, rather than following a one-size-fits-all protocol.
